In 2008 Paul Tweddell and I published the complete and collected poems of George Markham Tweddell, the 19thC poet, author, people's historian, chartist from Stokesley, North Yorkshire. This is an attempt to bring together from the collection all the poems relating to places in and around Cleveland, North Yorkshire or people - historical, political or poetical from the area of his birth and which loved and celebrated so much in his works.
It will be of interest to the general reader but also a resource for local historians and research, along with his other works such as The People's History of Cleveland etc.
Paul Tweddell ((George himself) has annotated the poems to say when they were written or published.
